Everyone is a Hero.

Everybody has responsibilities, but most of us don’t consider self-care as one of the top items on our daily to-do lists. This, though, is one of the most important things we can do every day. Many studies have shown that we are able to more effectively tackle what we need to get done in a day if we first take time for ourselves.

This is what Hero Yoga is all about.

Hero’s pose, or Virasana, in the physical practice of yoga is a very simple kneeling position. Life is complicated. It’s messy and stressful and loud, and sometimes simplicity is all we need for us to be able to come back to a place of being able to handle everything coming our way.

There’s beauty in the simplicity of Hero’s pose because it reminds us that a Hero doesn’t have to be aggressive. A Hero is steady and calm.

Be steady. Be calm. Become your own Hero.
